The Mix Biographies
Simon James:
Simon studied piano at the Royal School’s of Music in London from the age of 5. Working professionally since he was 12 all around London; by the time he was 13 he was also to be found working with BBC Producer Ian Grant and regularly played on sessions at his studios in South West London and the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios.
Since forming THE MIX in 1999, he has strived to make the band one of major players on the corporate bands market. Simon also works as a sound engineer on many major events in central London and around the UK.
Heidi Cullerne:
Heidi studied dance for 13 years and appeared in productions at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre as a child. Hannah Robinson:
Hannah has worked as a professional singer and dancer for many cruise ship companies all over the world, has done various UK theatre tours and is also a cabaret performer in her own right.
She has worked alongside artists such as Fat Boy Slim , and is a featured singer on Chicane's new album.
Hayley Newnes:
Hayley studied at Elmhurst Ballet School.Andy Gray:
Andy has played bass with the band for 7 years now. He has previously worked all over the world with many top bands and his wealth of experience shines through - a real asset to the band and a great mechanic too! Gary Bentley:
Since Gary joined the band 11 years ago, his amazing drumming skills have really made the band stand out.
His unique style is often commented on and has put a real punch behind the overall sound. He’s also a great
percussionist and teaches Drums in many top UK private schools.
Steve Grainger:
After being in 80’s chart topping band ‘Culture Club,’ Steve is a well known and very experienced player. Lewis Berry:
Lewis has been playing in the band for over 10 years, his versatile style and vocals Play a key role in the bands sound, A recording artist in his own right, and has played with many top names over the years.
Dave Shelton:
Dave’s Drumming and percussion skills are second to none, after working for numerous Cruise lines all over the world, experience really does show…
